One lesson i have learned would have to be pick the right friends. And what i mean by that is you are who you hang out with, maybe you don't want to be but you ARE judged by who you hang out with.
One way to know if you have the right friends is, if they try and keep you out of trouble rather than ag it on. If they don't want you to get into trouble they advise you not to do certain things to get yourself in trouble.
On the other hand, if your friend is really troublesom or does drugs or something like that then you most likely cannot trust them to have your back when you need them. And if they are rude and really careless then most likely they are going to try and get you into trouble. And then that will lead to your bad reputation.
Like i said before pick the right friends, it matters.

Story Spinners: Option 1
As the old man approached my friends and I we all turned to look at him, he was an old man that had glasses down on the tip of his nose and walked with a limp, at once my friend Jesse asked what the old mans name was. The old man replied, "Why I am Mr. McGeen". All the kids just looked at each other and all at once started speaking gibberish, in astonishment. The group of kids huddled up and Jesse said, " I'm not sure that we should believe this old geezer." Then Karly said, "I don't know what to believe?" Finally Jayson said, "Will someone please tell me what you are talking about?" The two other kids just looked at him and said, "Mr. McGeen is only one of the most famous toy makers of all time!" The kids then turned their attention back to Mr. McGeen, after a few long minutes of silence Jesse finally said something. "So Mr. McGeen, are you the real toymaker?" And the old man laughed, "Well I sure am!" The kids still were not to quick to believe him.
Later that night after the kids had their fun riding bicycles around the neighborhood they stood in Jayson's front yard talking about how fishy this "Mr. McGeen" was, so they decided to find out the hard way if he was lying or not.
The next morning Jesse, Karly, and Jayson met in the road. Today they were going to draw up a battle plan. So they sat around most of the morning playing football and drinking cokes. Then it was lunchtime, so the kids decided to wait until after lunch to come up with a plan... Later they finally sat down with a piece of paper and a marker and started their ingenious plan. First they decided that they would need to be barefoot, to keep from making a lot of noise, next they thought it would be better for Jesse to get into the supposed toy makers garage to check for proof, because Jesse was more brave, Finally they had finished their plan.
By the time the sun was setting Jesse had already went to his house and got flashlights and put on his ninja costume from last Halloween. When it came time to put their carefully thought through plan to work, the kids noticed Mr. McGeen walking towards them again with what looked like presents at hand. The kids looked at each other eagerly. Then when the old man finally reached the children he said, "Kids I know that you probably don't believe that I am really Mr. McGeen the toymaker, so I am here to prove it to you. I have made you each a very special toy. Enjoy" The kids anxiously opened their presents, but by the time they looked up to thank Mr. McGeen, he was gone.
