I was living in Mangum, Oklahoma and i was in 2nd grade, in Mrs. Bratton's class. We were watching a TV show and all of a sudden the news came on and said that terrorists have attacked America! as me being so young i didn't really know what they meant, but my teacher all freaked out and turned off the t.V's and told us all the go draw while they ran to the office real quick, when she came back she looked sad. I remember going home after school and asking my mom what happened and she told me that people from another country have stolen airplanes and crashed them into the twin towers, it didn't really bother me at first. But when i went to school the next day the teacher made us watch a documentary about the phone calls telling their families that they wouldn't be seeing them in the morning and making us listen t0 them, then it hit me, it made me realize what was going on.
And in 20 years i do think that we will be remembering this tragic event. Even if this was hundreds years from now i still think we would be remembering this event, because when something like this happens its not something that is easily forgotten, especially those who lost family and loved ones. Just like all of the other things or events that happened in history that we are learning about now i think that the kids to come will be learning about this one.
They probably chose to attack America cause they were jealous of our successful ways of life and government. and they thought that everything that we are doing is wrong and that we are ruining the world.
I personally don't know anyone who was affected by this tragic event but i feel sorry for anyone who has lost anyone and pray for them. I don't know who's point of views are on the line.
